manager Oliver Glasner is an unlikely name on ’s shortlist to replace as the boss at Stamford Bridge.

The Blues are in the hunt for a new boss after Potter was sacked on Sunday following a 2-0 defeat to at Stamford Bridge a day earlier.

It brought to an end a woeful spell in charge for the Englishman after his move from Brighton in September, with the Blues sitting 11th in the Premier League and extremely unlikely to recover to finish in the Champions League places.

Julian Nagelsmann, the man recently sacked as Bayern Munich manager, is the clear favourite to take charge at Stamford Bridge, but there are other contenders for the job.

, to be certain they don’t repeat the kind of mistake they made with Potter.

German publication report that Glasner is one of the men being considered for the post after impressing during his spell with Frankfurt.

The 47-year-old led the German side to an unexpected Europa League title last season, although he hasn’t really turned that into Bundesliga success this campaign, with Frankfurt sitting sixth in the table having won 11 of 26 matches.

That Europa League title is the only piece of silverware of the Austrian’s career, having previously been in charge of SV Ried, LASK and Wolfsburg before moving to Frankfurt in 2021.

Glasner remains a long-shot to be handed the job, with the likes of Mauricio Pochettino, Luis Enrique and Zinedine Zidane all thought to have a better chance of replacing Potter.

Nagelsmann appears to be the likeliest candidate, although he is thought to prefer the chance of taking over in the summer rather than for the remaining games of this campaign.
