Following Arsenal’s defeat at on Saturday, City have been crowned Premier League champions for the third season in a row.

Pep Guardiola’s side have also been having reached the finals of the FA Cup and Champions League, where they’ll play Manchester United and Inter Milan respectively.

All in all, it has been an incredible season for the Citizens, with every player in the squad playing a huge role in their success, with Kevin De Bruyne, Rodri, John Stones and Jack Grealish among the standouts.

However, it is striker Haaland who is expected to sweep up all the individual awards, having enjoyed a remarkable debut season at the Etihad .

It would be a huge shock if the 22-year-old did not win City’s Player of the Year award, but teammate Foden believes there is someone else who equally deserves the accolade, telling : ‘There’s a few contenders for this, isn’t there?

‘I think it’s out of Erling and Nathan Ake. He’s [Ake] always one of the best trainers; looks after himself; professional.

‘Yeah, it’s just difficult to pick one. For me, we’re going to have to just have it joint.’

Ake joined City in 2020 after suffering relegation with Bournemouth, but the defender was only used as a bit-part player in his first two seasons.

This campaign however, the 28-year-old has been key to Guardiola’s system, making 38 appearances, playing as both a centre-back and left-back to help his team keep the best defensive record in the league.

The Dutch international has been missing for the last few games thanks to a thigh injury, but it is hoped that he will be back for the two huge finals on the 3rd and 10th of June.
