The Blues smashed the British transfer record to sign Argentina winner Fernandez from Benfica in January .
Fernandez has made 20 appearances for Chelsea since arriving in west London but has been unable to help turn the club’s fortunes around.
It has been a horrific season for the Blues and Redknapp singled out Fernandez at half-time during Chelsea’s clash at Manchester City on Sunday.
‘There’s a testimonial feel to the game,’ Redknapp said on Sky Sports, with Man City leading 1-0 after 45 minutes.
‘Man City players won’t want to get injured and Chelsea just want this season over with now. It’s been that bad for them.
‘I’m looking at Enzo Fernandez right now, he looks a bit lost, I feel a bit sorry for him.’

‘If you have been brought in as a player for 100 million then you can at least expect that he will run his lungs out, right?’ Sneijder told RTL7.
