has revealed he was gutted to learn about the injury suffered by Arsenal team-mate Gabriel Jesus at the in .

‘He’s a very, very, very important player for us [Arsenal] and it’s not good to hear the news,’ Saka said about Jesus’ injury.

‘Obviously I’ve messaged him and I think he’s going to see the doctor and see what he needs to do for the next steps.

‘It’s definitely not good news when I heard that.’

Saka also spoke to the BBC yesterday and lauded Tottenham striker Harry Kane for his goal against Senegal.

‘Harry Kane is like inevitable you know, he was always going to score goals, I was never worried about that,’ Saka said of his England team-mate.

‘He’s been exceptional for us. He is like the glue of the team the way he links up attacks.

‘I knew he would get his goal and he showed unbelievable composure, because it took him so long to strike the ball, but he managed to do what Harry Kane does and put the ball in the back of the net.’
