is hopeful that can ‘invigorate’ the club’s academy players after their Under-14s captain trained with the first-team squad this week.

Earlier this month, Holland captained Chelsea Under-14s to a 5-0 win over Fulham in the Albert Phelan Cup South final.
And Lampard insists he is keen for the club to show the pathway for the academy players.
‘It was a day where our Under-21s and Under-18s had stopped training, they had broken up already,’ Lampard explained at his press conference on Friday when asked about Holland’s inclusion in the training session.
‘Charlie is the captain of the Under-14s and had a very successful season, he came over and took part in the warm-up and the boxes, and then the internet did the rest and made it more of a story.
‘It’s nice to have a link to the academy. It’s important for young players to have a feeling if they do well they can have small inputs.
‘With Charlie that was the situation, so another day it may be another player who can come in and get that valuable experience in a small way.
‘We hope that can invigorate the young players knowing that those things are possible.’
