The Goodison Park will come to life on Wednesday evening when Everton host Leicester City in a mouthwatering English Premier League fixture. Frank Lampard’s side enjoyed the weekend without being in action and must have had enough rest to prepare for the showdown against the Foxes. Everton have been struggling throughout this season and are still in danger of relegation, but they know victory against Leicester will be crucial.

They put up a brilliant performance to defeat Manchester United in their last game to improve their chances of survival, though they remain in 17th position, three points ahead of Burnley, and have a game in hand.

However, they still have plenty of work to do before breathing a sigh of relief. Team news Everton will need to get all the points in the encounter as they have bigger games ahead including matches against Liverpool and Arsenal yet to be played for the Merseysiders. Leicester City, on the other hand, have been impressive in recent times until last weekend’s game against Newcastle United. But Brendan Rodgers has to be wary of his side’s fitness level as this will be their fifth game in the last 12 days.

Predicted line ups

Everton 4-3-3): Pickford; Coleman, Keane, Godfrey, Mykolenko; Allan, Delph, Iwobi; Gordon, Calvert-Lewin, Richarlison.

Leicester City (4-2-3-1): Schmeichel; Justin, Soyuncu, Evans, Castagne; Tielemans, Mendy; Maddison, Dewsbury-Hall, Barnes; Iheanacho.
