manager wants to sign star Aaron Wan-Bissaka this summer to aid his leaky defence.

It has been a difficult season for Moyes’ side who have only just secured their status as a club having finished sixth and seventh in the last two seasons.

All that said, the club could well win their first major trophy for 43 years having reached the Europa Conference League final where they will face Fiorentina in Prague on 7th June.

Throughout the season, West Ham have looked shaky at the back, particularly at right-back where first-choice Vladimir Coufal has struggled for form, while Thilo Kehrer and Ben Johnson have been unconvincing.

Moyes is keen to upgrade in that area and, according to the , has set his sights on Wan-Bissaka whose future at Old Trafford looks uncertain.

At one stage the 25-year-old looked destined to leave United having hardly featured in the first half of the campaign thanks to injury and Erik ten Hag preferring Diogo Dalot in defence.

However, following the World Cup, Wan-Bissaka has reasserted his place in the first-team, making 32 appearances in total and helping the Red Devils win the Carabao Cup and reach the FA Cup final.

Though Ten Hag is still keen on improving his options at right-back, it remains to be seen whether the Englishman, , is in his plans for the future.

But time is running out for United to make a decision on Wan-Bissaka’s future, with his contract up in 2024 this could their last chance to sell the full-back, though they do have the option to extend it by another year.

As well as West Ham, Crystal Palace also retain an interest in re-signing their academy graduate whom they sold to United for £50million in 2019.

It is also said that the Irons are looking to sign a new centre-back and are keeping tabs on Wolves’ Max Kilman and Bayer Leverkusen’s Piero Hincapie.
