A man on a Southwest Airlines flight has been banned for life after allegedly masturbating mid-air next to a female passenger. Antonio Sherrodd McGarity is accused of pulling down his pants and masturbating at least four times on a flight from Seattle to Phoenix.

He apparently began his inappropriate behavior early in the three-hour flight on Saturday, according to a criminal complaint obtained by the .

‘McGarity was seated in seat 11F and the female witness was seated in seat 11E,’ the complaint reads. ‘Shortly after taking off, and while the aircraft was in the air, McGarity exposed his penis by pulling down his pants and shorts and began masturbating.’

The woman began taking photos of McGarity and reported him to a flight attendant when he fell asleep after masturbating for about an hour. Crew members allowed her to move to another seat.

When the flight landed in Phoenix, the woman told police officers that she saw McGarity masturbating ‘on four separate occasions, using both his left and right hands’, according to the complaint.

FBI agents interviewed McGarity, who apparently admitted his act.

‘McGarity advised he asked the female witness if she minded if he masturbates,’ the complaint reads. ‘According to McGarity, the female witness put her hands in the air and said, “it really doesn’t matter.”’

In addition, McGarity told authorities that he thought the woman did not mind his actions and did not think he did anything wrong. McGarity ‘thought it was kind of kinky’, the complaint states. He faces federal charges.

A Southwest spokesperson said McGarity has been banned from the airline for life.

‘The situation was reported to Crewmembers while inflight, and the Captain contacted law enforcement to meet the aircraft upon arrival,’ the spokesperson told the Daily Beast.

‘We immediately placed the passenger on our No-Fly List, resulting in a lifetime ban from traveling on Southwest.’
